i took an SAT class which really helped my scores, and i took the test a couple of times. Make sure that you have the proper SATIIs if they're required (i can't remember) and don't leave them to the last minute. Get someone to proofread your essay until it's perfect (typos and grammer mistakes are just plain embarrassing - so please excuse any i am currenly making). Don't completely stop caring about school at the end of your senior year. Take as many AP classes as you can cause they count for those stupid freshman requirments. Good luck!

I had good SAT's and worked my a** offDec 30 2002Journalism
I had good SAT's and worked my a** off in high school to get good grades, plus did all sorts of extracurricular stuff...so I guess that's what did it. I went to an admissions session my senior year, and the rep told me that if your SAT's and GPA are close to BU's average, you'll probably get in -- essays and extracurricular involvement are what get you grants and scholarships.

I dont know how I got in, I thought I wrote a good essay. I was a transfer student and while I didn't get good grades in my two years at my other college, I got good grades in high school but kind of low SAT scores, so I guess it would have to be my essay or high school grades or recommendations.
